I am connected but also disconnected Xbox live

When at my Xbox home screen, I have the "connect to Xbox live" message to the right hand side of my screen. I then go to my settings, under network connection. When there I am told Im connected to Xbox live with a moderate NAT type and all services are good.
Even when I test my network connection I get the "it's all good, your Xbox is connected to Xbox live" Message. i can view my friends list, my messages and notifications. But I'm unable to play or use any games and apps that require the Internet. I am also
unable to view my own profile, because I'm being told I'm not connected to the Internet. I have tried dissconnecting my Xbox from my internet, hard resetting my router and Xbox but nothing has changed. I was able to play a game for maybe 20 minutes at some
point but then I was "connected but disconnected" again. This has never happened to me before and I would really appreciate some light on what is happening and how I can fix it.

Opinions on an aggravating connection issue

I get disconnected while playing games about 75% of the time. I'm constantly getting disconnected and reconnected to Xbox live parties. I usually stay connected to Xbox live just disconnected to the games.

If I'm at the dashboard I will still be disconnected to my Xbox live party but usually it automatically connects back.

 

Xbox connection issues HELP!!!

Why do I only disconnect from an xbox live party when a certain person joins my party? It also causes whatever game I'm playing to lag and sometimes disconnect. Really frustrating. We both have open NAT types. Otherwise connection is flawless. Even have gone into my router settings and opened all necessary ports. PLEASE HELP!!!

 

This exact same thing has been happening to me. Contacted support, removed downloaded my profile,. Disconnected/connected Internet equipment still happening. Very frustrated.

 

Hey OP,

Have you tried removing your current profile from the console and then re-signing in? This seems to fix most of the issues that you are describing. Also in some cases your moderate nat type may be blocking the ports xbox needs to utilize Xbox Live services.
I would start first by removing the profile and then re-signing in as this is the less evasive and the one that seems to work most often. In either case I have included, articles on both solutions. I hope this helps.

I'm having the same problem. I have contacted Xbox Support and my ISP and everything is fine. I have deleted my profile from my XB1 but now it is asking if I want to transfer my Xbox 360 stats to my XB1. Will this transfer my stats that I have accumulated
on XB1?

 

I've also implemented port forwarding and it has mad no difference. I get maximum 10 minutes in a game before it says I've lost connection to the EA servers.

 

Hey, I also had a similar issue, with not connecting to XBL.

What worked for me was, I deleted my profile off of the Xbox, then I connected to a different wireless network (used my phone as a hotspot). Then when connected to the "new" network I signed in to my account and it pulled in all my info and was able to connect.
Once it had pulled all my account info, I switched back to my original wifi connection and has been working fine since.

these type disconnections are almost always the router or its settings ....lots of wireless routers just don't stay connected to xbox very well , firmware , different protocol ...I don't really know ...if its a duel band , it seems to work better in the
2.4 range versus the 5ghz range for some reason....

 

So it turns out my console was faulty and has to be repaired. The turn around time is 3-4 weeks but I just asked my place of purchase (JB HiFi) if I could swap it for a different console and they said that's fine (I purchased the faulty console in January).
