I AM ALWAYS HAVING 250 plus ping!!!

I havent had a problem with this ever. but for the past week I lag in everything I play except GTA online. but parties lag. cod lags. titanfall lags. a speed test on the one shows 5 down 3 up and 0% pl but my ping is 250plus.

I live in Texas so distance isn't an issue.

I am plugged directly into the router. and the problem still occurs whenever I'm connected directly into the modem.

my isp doesn't know what to do.

I've tried DMZ. port forwarding. basically everything.

please help anybody?

To play online games is simply impossible.

 

Well, here's another. I bought an Xbone 3 or so weeks ago and had LAG FREE Titanfall until about the past 48 hours.

All of a sudden, latency has gone up to 250ms. Up and down bandwidth unaltered.

NAT OPEN by default.

My router has not been altered or fudged with. And, NO latency on the PC whatsoever when I run a COD.

No new devices. Have not moved the xbox or added any Aluminium foil anywhere so I think I'm probably good microwave-wise. ; )

I'm playing in Melbourne, Australia.

Anyone else?

Open to ideas. Titanfall is unplayable. ("Trying to reconnect to server") lag lag lag.... :/

 

I just got off the online help chat, they were courteous, but not very helpful, stating something to the lines of (paraphrased) "your problem has been noted, check in 24 hours. Call this no. in Australia 1-800-555-741 (toll-free)".

Could it be something to do with the LIVE server connectivity or Respawn servers? Common denominator here is Microsoft is hosting them right?

Any sort of help from someone in the actual know - I would be very grateful. Many thanks all.

 

Ive just had BT infinity 2 installed with 75mbps down and 20mbps up,but my latency is in the 200's which has rendered my on-line gaming unplayable.As an older gamer on the spectrum at 40 i can still hold my own.I had a 1.4 kd on ghosts (which aint bad for
40 yr old eyes) but my KD has dropped to below one as the latency is so severe I get conflicting kill cams,spiking,chopping,and at times it looks like i've just stood there and let the other person shoot me even though I'm emptying entire clips,going to sell
the whole lot I think as the rage is strong in my on-line gaming world.

 

Here's an update. Things then got worse, before they got better.

Today, I tried yet again to play Titanfall. This time, the game started and paused... "Please buy Xbox live Gold"

So.. from a very laggy connection to not being able to start titanfall.

Because I have in fact a year's subscription, I called Microsoft and managed to get them to fix my account.

Oddly enough, just after this fix, titanfall ran again, no prompting for new subscription....

...and here's the kicker... The lag is all gone!

Coincidence? Maybe.

@AC75 OF CRU3L7Y - If you're referring exclusively to the diagnostic test that runs through your Xbox One, then the answer is No! There're no other public servers made available to run these tests against, except for those located in a datacenter in Seattle,
WA.
