I already paid for Xbox gold why isn’t it letting me join friends and play

I understand you need help on joining party chat.

First, please check if your Xbox Live Gold is already active on this link:

If it is active, you may need to check your privacy settings on this link:

https://account.xbox.com/en-us/settings

Make sure they are set to allow on your privacy and online safety tab then submit.

On your console, you may also try doing the reset to refresh the system:

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Select Console info

5. Select Reset console.

6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

im not to join parties and can play with friends but when i put in a code for xbox live. the one tells me i already have a gold menbership active

Your subscirption must’ve already expired or someone you know cancelled your subscription. Visit the subscription tab in settings to see.
