I accidentally deleted ALL my data in the memory unit, including EVERYTHING in the system items

Now, I can't do anything but play a game and save it on my usb drive. My profile was also deleted and, on my USB drive, I had to create another one on there without an email because of the fact that the original memory unit had nothing in it and wouldn't
let me save one in it. Is there a way I can recover the files that were in the memory unit when I bought the xbox 360?

Is this orginal Xbox Memory Unit defective?

I have an original Xbox Memory Unit that plugs into the controller. It recognizes there is a memory card plugged in but when I try to save game data off the hard drive to the memory unit there is no copy choice available only delete. How are these memory units supposed to work and is this unit defective?

Delete the game, go to system items, delete marketplace system data/rights database.

Then highlight your hard drive/memory unit, press "y" for device options and clear cache.

Then try redownloading.

 

sorry unless you had it backed up then it is all gone the only thing you will be able to recover is your profile and achievements (those are stored on the LIVE servers) and anything you bought or downloaded on your account.
