HyperX Cloud headet --> DSS/DSS2 amp --> Xbox One S system and control chat audio?

I haven't been able to find a clear answer for this. I have not set up my new Xbox One S yet, and I am unfamiliar with the controller, as in I do not have one in hand. I have not owned a Xbox One original either (only a XB360 and XB), so I have never used
the headset stereo adapter. It seems that the DSS/DSS2 love has gone out the window and they are not even made anymore. I intend to use the optical to DSS for the audio. 1. To control chat volume in-game, I would need a MS stereo headset adapter correct? Would
the adapter make the audio control box that comes with the HyperxX Cloud unnecessary? If so, to hook up my DSS and control chat volume in-game, I just need to connect the mic from the HyperX to the stereo headset adapter, and the audio from the HyperX to the
DSS and be done with it? This controls chat colume with the control and audio volume with the DSS/DSS2? 2A. To control chat and audio volume close to the controller (chat on stereo headset apapter and audio on HyperX Cloud attachable audio control box), I
send the mic from the control box to the stereo headset adapter, and the audio from the control box to the DSS/DSS2 2B. Same as 1, except add a volume control cable inline and tie it up because of the extra length, between the audio control box and the 3.5mm
jack on the controller (NO headset adapter) Would these three options work?

They have Discontinued the Original Ear Force DSS & are now selling DSS2 etc..

I currently have mine set up with the DSS, (not the DSS2) and it works good enough, not surround, until they patch it, but get stereo game audio.

Works fine for now.

Yes. I know I'm also replying to an old thread, but I recently picked up the Hyper X Cloud gaming headset. Probably one of the best headsets on the market for the fraction of the cost of those "high end" ones. Anyway...

I've been using DSS2 for audio and not chat. As chat is only handled through the stereo adapter. So my these Hyper X Cloud IS compatible with the XB1 and the instruction said to use the y-adapter (because the headset has x2 3.5mm cables speaker/mic) and
then plug the y-adapter to the stereo adapter. However, I want to use the DSS2 for my audio. So I tried plugging the 3.5mm jack for audio into the DSS2 and the 3.5mm jack for mic into the stereo adapter. I got the audio, but not chat.

I didn't press the social button (or whatever it's call) multiple times to get chat audio. If I unplugged it, I can hear people in the party. With it plugged in (and probably not configured) I get nothing.

Researching different setups and I came across this forum. Figured I stop by to chime in.

I Would suggest a Turtle Beach X32 paired with the DSS2 Dolby Surround Sound, this is cost effective and gives you amazing sound for game audio, chat, music & movies.
