Hyper Light Drifter crashes on start-up after logging in with a save file

Hyper Light Drifter crashes every time you sign in after start up with a save file already in place. If I delete my file, I can start the game fine, but if I Quit the game and come back - the game crashes every time I log in and press any button to menu.

I've tested other games. I've tested hard reset. I've tested log out and log in. I think there is an issue client side.

Anyone else having this issue?

Yep I am sooooo sick of the Australian marketplace getting *** out of games. Would Microsoft rather i play hyper light drifter on my ps4 ?

Odd that you continue to experience this. Have you also tried playing the game with a different profile to see if there is any change? Also, to check, are you currently part of the Xbox One Update Preview?

 

Hi! I've the same problem, HLD crashes every time I log in juste before the game menu…

 

I've tried not to log in until the game asks it, I logged in when asked and it seemed to work as I was getting the start menu… but then it crashes again… :/

 

Every time I get past the beginning intro it freezes and crashes.

I tried signing in with another profile and it still didn't work.

 

Same here. haven't been able to play for the last 2 days.

 

Same issue here. Game has been running fine up until this evening; title screen comes up, hit A once to log in, hit A again to start and it crashes to dashboard. Pretty bummed, been loving this game so far. Really hope I don't need to delete my save, would
hate to lose my progress.

True Achievements that people are able to unlock achievements recently. Are you guys still having this issue or has it been resolved? Post back and let me know!

Thank you all for commenting on my thread.

Good news! Alex Preston (creator of Hyper Light Drifter) has been in touch with me regarding this issue and I just got the following e-mail from him last night:

"We just submitted the patch to MS, and you should get an update that will fix it SUPER soon - we hope tomorrow, but it may be Monday depending on how long they take to deploy. Thanks for your patience, and apologies once more on the stalled progress."

In the meantime, if you start a new game and ensure to ALWAYS quit to title ONLY in the screen just outside your starting house - the game will always boot up. That is how I've been playing the last week or so.
