  1. Hydro Thunder GO deserves another release

I don't know where else to post this. I am trying to get this to Microsoft.

Microsoft should greenlight another Hydro Thunder. Mix boat-ramming and drafting like Hydro Thunder GO had. Add stunts like H2Overdrive, maybe implement a variation of the Riptide stunt system. Add every track from every Hydro Thunder game ever, plus new tracks. Keep all the different challenge modes from Hurricane and add new ones. Add a Stunt Mode, stunt tracks, and possibly some type of a battle mode.

I have some game pitches that Microsoft should use: THE HYDRO THUNDER COLLECTION.

This would consist of: 1) An "arcade perfect" port of the original Hydro Thunder 2) H2Overdrive (Microsoft doesn't own the rights to this game, so it would most likely be impossible to include it) 3)Hydro Thunder Hurricane (remastered) 4) Hydro Thunder GO (remastered)

These titles are "collecting dust" by sitting idle.

Hydro Thunder GO is a mobile game for Windows Phone. It is a Windows Phone exclusive. It takes elements from Hydro Thunder and also Hurricane, blending the elements of drafting and boat-ramming. No other Hydro game has done this. No one ever mentions this game because it is a rare title. I often have to introduce this game to die-hard fans of Hydro Thunder who have never even heard of it. It's a shame because it is a fun game and it fell into obscurity. Windows Phone is nearly obsolete and that is the only way to play this game. It is easily worth another release. This game could be making money for Microsoft, but it just sits there doing nothing. Re-release it. Upscale the graphics.

H2Overdrive is my favorite for the stunts and INTENSITY. You can ram other boats just like the original, but now you get rewarded with boost power-ups for hitting them. It expands on all the original mechanics. An arcade-only release, there is an option to save your progress to a local machine using a pin-code. This gives the game much more depth than the original Hydro Thunder and adds replay value. It is made by the same developers as Hydro Thunder, but they couldn't use the Thunder name due to legal issues. It was released by Raw Thrills, not Midway like the original. Microsoft DOES NOT OWN the rights to this game, which would most likely mean it couldn't be included with this idea for a collection. H2Overdrive was meant to be an arcade experience with the stages being short and action-packed. It can be played in short bursts, but also for hours at a time.

Hydro Thunder Hurricane is made by Vector Unit. They didn't work on the original Hydro Thunder game, but they made Hurricane. That eventually evolved into the Riptide series. Riptide isn't exactly Hydro Thunder. It is a bit similar. The latest Riptide was the best of the series.

The controls in Hurricane are buttery smooth and there is more freedom to go backwards. These are entirely new game mechanics that loosely imitate the original. The level of precision in the controls is what makes this game great. The tracks are well done. Ramming other boats for boost is absent here, which is not a problem. You can crash and burn in this game. There is a re-spawn button for when you get stuck. There is no option to perform stunts. You can "draft" in this game, which is a fun mechanic that I really like. It is similar to Riptide. Though not as intense as H2Overdrive, it has its own intense moments as well. There isn't any "filler." Every moment is pure gameplay. It is all calculated movement. The achievements and unlockables are abundant, yet repetitive. You will have to unlock the same boats and skins twice. This gives the game a lot of replay value. There are different modes of play available besides racing that aren't in any other Hydro Thunder game. It was not meant to be an arcade experience like its predecessors. It is a home console experience. It is certainly worthy of the Thunder name. I highly enjoy it.

I love both Overdrive and Hurricane games for their subtle differences. They all have boosts, jumps and shortcuts. Choosing a favorite is difficult.

If Vector Unit teamed up with Specular Interactive, you could call it SPECTOR.
