Husband 24 hour ban for no reason.

my husbands gamertag was banned for 24 hours yesterday after 9 years of being on xbox live. No explaination and now he still cant get online even though the 24hours has gone. Phoned support and they said he needs too post on forums but he cant directly as
it wont let him

If its only a 24 hour, there is no need to post in the support fourms. They dont respond to 24 hour bans. I am not sure if they even send an e-mail for 24 hour ban.

And it won't let you start a case review. How is this legal? They ban you for 24 hours with no reason or refund, and won't review it, either.

Is this eligible for a class action lawsuit? Xbox live is now monitored by people who aren't employed by Microsoft. Censorship at it's finest, and a lack of 1st amendment rights. Use of profanity is not illegal, and I only play games that are meant for adults.
This is wrong, and possibly illegal.

Your husband will need to open a case review if he wishes to find out the reason for his suspension, he can do that via the
xbox enforcement page. The enforcement team are the only people who can give him an explanation into what has happened.

Be aware it only takes one valid complaint for a suspension to be enforced. If your husband has broken the code of conduct or terms of use in anyway, for example sending abusive/profane text/voice messages to other players. Having anything on your profile
that may be breaking the CoD or ToS such as profane/offensive statements etc etc... Also there is no time frame as to when a complaint is filed to when it is dealt with, it could have been reported a month or two ago and only been dealt with now.

The suspension should end on the exact time it was enforced, so if it was enforced at 12:00 it will end at 12:00 the following day.

Hopefully his account will be back up and running soon.

 

You can't ask for a case review for a 24 hour suspension.

You can log into the site above to see any enforcement action on your account.An email would of been sent to the address linked to the suspended account explaining why it was suspended & when the suspension begins & ends.

Have a read over the
Policy Enforcement page but as Daft Badger has explained you will not be able to file a case review if the suspension is only a 24 hours suspension.

 

It's really annoying as I have never done anything and Iwant too know why I lost my Xbox360 Gamerscore all my xbox one is there just not xbox one

 

kaw, an email should have been sent to the address associated with your account. If you did not receive one then you can check the enforcement page linked above and see the reason why it happened. You'll need to log in with the affected gamertag and then
click on the orange hammer to see the reason and the option to open the review.

 

It gives no real reason it's so vague it could be anything. I haven't played my Xbox360 in about a year since I got my xbox one

 

Sorry but that's all the help we can provide. The only reason you would have lost GS is if the PET deemed that you got those points illegitimately. Only they can give a specific reason for the reset. Also, if the action happened more than 18 months ago
you would not be able to request a Case Review.
