Hunter's Blackbow Glitched?! Can't pick it up?

i recently reallocated my points to change from a str to dex build. when i went to swap my equipment around i noticed the bow (hunter's blackbow) was gone. i figured since i was on a new play through i could just go back to the chest in Drangleic Castle
and collect a new one. The chest is closed and when i open it the items are in there (bow and some iron arrows) but when i go to pick it up it tells me my inventory bag is full. from my experience this occurs only when you are picking up stackable items and
have reached the limit (99 items, or 999 arrows, etc). can anyone think of why it would not let me pick this item up?? i would rather not have to complete the game and go through it all the way up to Drangleic Castle AGAIN before i can collect it.

*if i teleport back to a bonfire or leave the area and return the chest is closed again but same thing when i go to open it and take the items.

Also I am new to dex builds, let me know if there is a bow that is just as good or close to (or better than?) the hunters blackbow that will work well enough when range is needed.

nevermind, figured it out for myself. my iron arrow stack was full so i guess the looting in this game is like all or nothing. because i couldn't take the arrows out of the chest it wasn't letting me take the bow either.
