Hunter: The Reckoning is not playing on my 360

Hunter: The Reckoning is not playing on my 360. I have an official HDD and Halo 2 does play yet both games are backward compatible. I'm using discs and an older xbox 360 fat version. The error code states "This original Xbox game is not supported on your
console. An update to support this game may be available." I don't see an update anywhere. I updated my console already then removed it and ran system update again just in case. Why is Halo 2 able to play though?

Hunter The Reckoning: Redeemer?

So I was wondering. Why isn't Hunter the Reckoning: Redeemer supported on the Xbox 360? I was looking through the list of supported games and Hunter the Reckoning is supported, but not Hunter the Reckoning: Redeemer. If anyone can answer this for me I'd
appreciate it greatly. I don't want to have to go out and buy another original Xbox just to play the game.

In your "Support menu" under "Games", it states that "Hunter The Reckoning (2)" is playable on the "New" 360. But "Hunter The Reckoning Redeemer" which is the second game of the series will not play on the New 360.

What region are you in as only the north American version of that game is backwards compatible.

 

I am in the United States and know it is a NTSC version.

 

It probably isn't backwards compatible then. The list Microsoft released isn't accurate. Games were put on, broken half way through, and then taken off when the errors were noticed. They didn't bother to update the list. There are a few games that aren't
on the list and that work, and games that are on the list and don't work.

 

Well The Thing and Fusion Frenzy have the same error message yet are backwards compatible. I have a hard time believing all three games aren't compatible anymore. I've seen recent videos of them being played on a 360. Should I disconnect from the internet
then try them since I already updated my console? I just can't figure out why Halo 2 will only play. I've looked all over for answers.

 

I've also read that the message displayed means the game was emulator patched so sometimes games on the bc list don't play. What can you do then to fix that?

 

The list is pretty accurate & I've never heard of a game not on the list playing.

A few games on the list do have issues though when you play them on a 360.

If your 100% sure you have an official hard drive then it may be the copy of the game itself.

I'd try it on another 360 if possible,if not then I don't know what else to suggest as backwards compatibility support ended a few years ago there's not really much else you can do.
