May I confirm if you are trying to play theHunter: Call of the Wild using the keyboard on the Xbox console?

If yes, I sincerely apologize however, it is not possible to play it with the keyboard on the Xbox console. You can only play the game using a controller because this game doesn't have the option to play via keyboard and mouse.

I'd go mouse and keyboard for monster hunter but controller for the rest.

Hello Hunter, when it says that you are using mouse and keyboard would be on Xbox or PC, if on Xbox the mouse and keyboard is released by Microsoft but the optimization and compatibility with the games is the responsibility of the developer.

For the following to work you must make the menu selections using your keyboard. If you use the controller to make your menu selections to start the game you will be placed in a room for those with a controller and your keyboard/mouse will be non functional
to make it fair to other players. To enter the room for keyboard and mouse users the game must be started by selecting the options using the keyboard/mouse. Hope this helps.
