    Hulu Video Playback Freezing (After Update?)


    After the (March?) update that fixed Instant On NAT issues my Hulu app video playback has been freezing on one of my 2 Xbox Ones around every 10 seconds or less.

    I've tried:

    Different network cables, wireless connection, router reset and firmware upgrade, app uninstall, sign out, un-link from gamer tag. Also tried changing DNS settings to the Hulu recommended 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 and as a fall back 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220,
    hard reset of the Xbox One (and the other Xbox One just for kicks). Router is an ASUS RT-AC68U I'm using AT&T U-Verse.

    Hulu runs fine on my second Xbox One that is wirelessly connected in a different room than the router and on every other device in my home including those with HD streams like my TV. Seems like it is just this one XB1. Other video apps (Netflix, HBO Go,
    Amazon) work fine even on this XB1 as does online gaming and chat. When I do Network Diagnostic tests I always get 30-50 Mbps and 0 packet loss. NAT is almost always Open on both consoles and doesn't seem to be affecting this problem.

    The Update timing could be a coincidence, that was the only other data point I could think of. The Xbox that isn't working is a launch One and the One that does work was purchased during the most recent Christmas holiday.

    Hulu App Issue

    Hi All,

    When pausing video in the Hulu app the system automatically populates the screen with title info and the Hulu Plus Logo. When playback is resumed both logos stay on screen and don't fade away. The only way to remove the logo's is to stop playback and resume
    the show.

    Stuttering and freezing on Netflix app.

    I'm having an issue with Netflix video slowing down and freezing during playback. The audio is uneffected as only the video slows down or freezes. The video eventually catches up after a few minutes. I've tried Wifi and Ethernet connections but it makes
    no difference. My internet is 200mb so speed is not an issue and I do not have streaming problems on other devices. Is there a fix I can do to correct Netflix playback.

    We're having the same issue too. Except even after countless times of quitting the app we can't watch any video at all. Every time we try to watch something, it plays for maybe 5 seconds max before it gives us the playback error. It definitely seems like
    an xbox one thing because we can hardly get our Netflix app to work (most of the time it doesn't).
