    Hulu HD Quality Settings on Xbox One


    Hi folks, the Hulu App for Xbox One does not have a video quality setting, and as a result the experience on the app is sadly very poor. I have a 10MB fibre line, and works just fine on my PC (and TV directly) - which is a pity as other apps such as Netflix
    works just fine. Who can we chat to, to add this feature to Hulu (without which), I simply don't bother to watch TV on my Xbox, and revert back to my TV, or PC. Kevin

    This is probably a long shot, but has your display settings on the console somehow been changed from the HD setting or lower than 720p?

    Cannot get "Play to" to work

    I have not gotten any HD quality MP4s to PlayTo XBOX ONE. Only SD Quality. I think they have a very limited implementation of PlayTo working on the XBOX ONE right now.

    Hi, if I'm not mistaken you can set the streaming quality by signing into your Netflix account online and setting the streaming quality for every device you use to stream Netflix on but you can't set the quality per device.

    Sign into Netflix and go to your account profile and you'll see the option to set the Playback Settings there. You may though need to settle for a lower than HD quality as it appears that the highest setting covers both HD and 4K streaming.

    These are the available options

    Auto

    Default video quality and data usage.

    Low

    Basic video quality, up to 0.3GB per hour

    Medium

    Standard video quality, up to 0.7GB per hour

    High

    Best video quality, up to 3GB per hour for HD, 7GB per hour for Ultra HD

    That setting is per account, so any changes will affect only the account you make the changes on.

    I have my PC connected to my TV and the quality is on par with TV's upscaling. There's nothing wrong with your set up.

    It may be the fact that the image on your TV is set differently for USB playback

    No hardware is going to upscale sub-HD quality image to HD/Blu-Ray quality

    The judder is a know issue with Uk & EU 50hz and hopefully be fixed in an update. For the picture quality, run the TV calibration wizard from the Xbox settings. My picture quality is good coming from a Sky HD box.
