Huge Xbox One X power consumption while OFF (Full shutdown or just plugged in power) !!

I have Power consumption meter (digital one, that shows Amps, Wats consumed from socket), and when I plug In Xbox One X it INSTANTLY consumes ~ 23W. The same happens, wen console is on Full Shutdown.

That a lot of consumption for console fully turned off.. when by specs it must be 0.5W (actualy there are no specs for X) !!

My Laptop uses 20W when On..

Have anybody measured power consumption while Xbox One X OFF?

new xbox one set-up issue

Hi,

Just plugged in my new XBOX One.

On power on it takes a while after which it shows the green ' XBOX One ' screen, and immediately shutdown afterwards :-(

Any tips on remediating this?

Error code 0x800488FC on Xbox One

Just fixed it by doing a full shutdown by going to settings -> Power & Start up -> Click on Turn off or restart -> Full shutdown. Wait for xbox to turn off completely, turn it back on, and BAM! Signed back in!

 

Hey xMucho! Are you a member of the Preview Program at all? Additionally, is the console plugged directly in to a wall outlet? Post back and let us know!

 

Hi! Yes, I am member of Preview program.. just waiting my 3 month experience to happen. So Hope to test beta firmware soon. But for now.. if Xbox X is plugged in - 20 Watt consumption.. while off

 

And yes - directly in wall outlet (220V EU).

 

Hey xMucho! Because you're in the Preview Program you will want to make sure you submit feedback through the console. To clarify, is the console in Instant-On mode or Energy-Saver mode? Post back and let us know!

 

Energy-Saver set in settings. But it does not matter - After shutting down with "Full Shutdown" from settings is the same result (or after pluging in - without boot). Not on Preview Firmware.
