    Having serious issues with Xbox live, can't play any game at all while connected, I just hang at a black screen. I have no idea what or why this is happening, works fine offline from what I've seen but if I'm signed in nothing works, no apps, no games, can't
    even change my avatar without it freezing. I've deleted and re-downloaded my profile twice now, nothing seems to be fixing the issue.

    Update: I can't even look at my friends list on the website, gives me an error, other friends are on without an issue.

    Please Help, Headset Issue

    Hi.

    So, to begin, I got an Xbox One not too long ago and I bought a wireless Turtle Beach headset for it. I could hear everything online: game audio, my friends talking. But they couldn't hear me. They can see my mic lighting up but no voice volume can be heard on their end. Which is weird, because when I send a voice message they can hear that just fine. So it's clearly not a mic issue. But I thought it was so I ended up returning my wireless headset and going back to a wired one to see if that would be better and fix my problem. It didn't, so clearly at this point I'm pissed off. Especially because I wanted to be wireless. So at this point I'm thinking it has to be an Xbox setting, right? Nope. I've checked every single setting imaginable on this trash Windows 8-style dashboard (my God, why did they ever get rid of the 360 layout?). Anyway, it wasn't a privacy or audio setting or anything. I've updated my controller, I've assigned a headset and controller to my gamertag, I've hard reset the entire Xbox. I've literally done 99% of anything all of you on IGN boards could ever recommend me to do to try and fix the issue. But I'm hoping there's someone in the world who can give me advice and find that 1% that I haven't tried.The only time the mic doesn't work is just when I try to use game or party chat to talk to people. I can hear game audio on Blops 3 just fine and the people talking online, but not a single soul can hear me and I'm ready to break the goddamn Xbox. Could it be a software issue? Is that the problem? Because I can't think of anything else in this world that it could be. I work for Microsoft inside of Best Buy so I got the One for free because of my position, so I honestly shouldn't complain (though it is a refurb one because companies are cheap). I'm at the point where I'm ready to just give this Xbox back and buy my own. Does anyone have *any* input on this at all? Anyone have the same experience? I'm all out of ideas. Please show me the light before I go crazy. This is one of the most frustrating things I've ever experienced in my lifetime of playing games online. I can't even talk to damn friends smh. I've googled the hell out of this and the internet has literally no fix, which blows my mind. Never thought I'd say that I couldn't find something on Google. I'm hoping there's a person on here who is a brainiac on this. This is my last resort.

    I've got the same issue Magnum. It's evolved to include some apps and even transactions. I've tried the troubleshooting and its still on going. What did MS do??

    Hi all,

    As we continue to look in to this issue, we have found a good amount of success with performing these steps in this specific order. Let's go ahead and all try this out and see if it is able to help.

    1). Power cycle the console (turn the console off and back on)

    2). Clear the system cache 3 times in a row

    3). Power console off, remove all USB accessories, Memory cards, Kinect (if attached) and
    hard drive
    , then try launching a disc-based game that does not require hard drive

    4). If still failing, remove the profile ONLY (do not delete items associated
    with your profile when asked) and then re-download the profile

    If this does not help resolve the issue though, please provide the following info for us to pass along to the proper teams:

    1). What model console and hard drive you are using? (ex: S model with a 250GB HDD, Original model console with a 20GB HDD, etc.)

    2). When did you first notice this behavior? (ex: 7-29-2014 at 3:30PM EST)

    3). What games/apps have you recently downloaded around the same time this issue started occurring?

    Hey Guys. I was having this issue to. seems like there is a service alert for it and they are looking to resolve it. in the mean time I found a work around. If you skip sign in when you start-up the console, then launch whatever app/game you wanna play then
    sign in when prompted after it has launched it works fine. It does mean you have to sign out anytime you switch apps/games but at least it works until they fix the issue.

  10. I have found a Temporary Fix

    You will need to go into your storage do a cache clean 3 times, then Press LB RB X LB RBX on your storage device screen. This will remove your System Update. Hit Yes. System will restart> When it loads back up decline the update. If you have Auto Sign in
    active disable it. Restart the console. Allow the update to proceed. After the system update completes, DO not sign it yet. Load the game off line. When the game loads and prompts you to sign in do so. if the game needs an up date allow it. the game will load
    and play online.

    When you need to switch games repeat only the process of restart the console and starting the game or app offline then sign in. This temporary fix is working.

  12. Frankly this is BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE - when THOUSANDS/MILLIONS (Yes it is global across the board - I have yet to find anyone NOT having issues) of users suddenly stop being able to run any apps or games on your console for DAYS when connected - wasting our
    time suggesting clearing caches and re-seating hard drives is insulting!

    You have a MAJOR outage - get it fixed.

    XBOX support, get your act together. Test your product before you release updates that bring the system to its knees or at least have a back-out plan.
