Huge Issue

If you get a message of a random person saying " I found you on the Xbox App and bored and looking for new people to talk to or if you get a message with giberish like this jtjb3jsih4bdkd!&$*&$ Do your self a favor and dont reply these hackers trying
to get into your account if you message them back. You can tell there a hacker because if you click on their profile they 0 gamerscore and so many people added with very little people who follow him and they have the gamertags that Xbox gives when you first
get your Xbox. Also if you did reply make sure theres no billing or creditcard info your account and make sure you have a passkey. So many people are talking about it in the clubs and in the Community tab about this PLEASE SHARE THIS SO OTHER PEOPLE CAN KNOW

Huge buffering issue.

Yeah I kinda felt like the speed was too slow and I did talk to an At&t rep and she said that the only way to get a higher connection speed would be to upgrade from the $19.95 a month 4mbps plan we have to the $50.95 18mbps plan and unfortunately I'm disabled
and unemployed and living at home with mom and dad so I'm using their router and Internet service and they can't afford to upgrade the service package.

 

Huge localization issue

Howdy,

something that is starting to seriously rustle my jimmies is this:

I'm Swedish and live in Sweden, in order to fully utilize the store I need to set location to Sweden, but lo and behold - someone made the decision to not allow me to use English as my system language or spoken language to English. I have no idea why you
won't let me do that?

This basically means that the Kinect becomes an expensive piece of useless crap unless I, as I do now keep going back and forth between locations (restarting every time I decide to do something).

Seems like an easy fix, I also notice that the British location setting yields a much more updated and interesting start screen.

tl;dr :You seem to have forgotten to keep language &spoken language on the Xbox independent from location. You should probably fix that, there are many here who can't even speak proper Swedish and have to rely on English.

Let me, being in Sweden. Still select language & spoken language as English. Please. It ruins the experience not to be able to.

p.s even if you enable Swedish as a spoken language I would with 99% certainty never use it. Let me use English.

Wut? You're saying that people *outside* of Xbox can spam you by dropping messages from their Xbox app and can somehow ACCESS your account if you've got credit card deets on file? What a bunch of baloney! #reported

If you use the correct provided security measures there nothing wrong with having your credit/debit card details linked to your xbox account or anything else.

Had my debit card linked to my account for 14 years without a single problem.

Even had my debit card linked to my PSN account when they got hacked & guess what,nothing happened because I took the correct security measures.

Had my debit card linked to other things for over 20 years without a problem.

No one can get hold of your details or "hack you if you reply to a message over live.

 

Again, better to play it safe than to trust corporations with your personal and financial info.

lol, a bank is where most people 1st set up their personal finances. But by your logic, if ya can't trust Microsoft with your financial info, then you can't trust banks either eh.

Unlikely. If someone tries to sign into your account from another country or a foreign device or a device which is over 100km from your normal usage, Microsoft sends a verification code TO YOUR SMARTPHONE number, and you have to enter in the correct password
and email, before they can access your account. It is almost impossible, to get that verification number, if you don't have it. I'm with Vodafone and they know there is only ONE device which has access to my number, and that's my smartphone which is next to
me.

Also, if there are any unauthorized withdrawals, your bank will Reverse Transaction those. There are laws in place for this. Microsoft regularly updates their software anyways. And no one has been successfully able to hack Xbox Live for other people's info.

From what I've read what they do is add you over xbox live,send you messages asking if you are male/female & your age & then give you a link to a sex site.

If your dumb enough to go to that site that's where they'll try & get some details from you.

They can't do it over xbox live unless someone is stupid enough to give out their details.
