Huge connection issues on online games and with Xbox live

Whenever I try to play a multiplayer game, my connection starts off fine but suddenly drops to the point where the match of whatever I am playing becomes unplayable, and more often than not it disconnects me from Xbox live, saying I cannot connect. my internet
is fine as all of my other devices work on it with perfect connectivity. I am unable to play something for more than 5 seconds ( counted just to make sure) before my connection drops.

PS: my console is 7-8 years old and hasn't had any serious mechanical faults in its lifetime, neither has the wireless connecter I am using to connect to my broadband.

my friends connections all seem to be fine, even those living near me so its not an area thing. please help.

    :)

Has anyone found a solution to this? I am getting connection issues with connecting to Xbox live or anything game related online through IPCop firewall...

Connection issues with Xbox 360/Xbox Live and Xfinity/Comcast. Tried all suggestions on the Xbox Live Port configuration page and have ALL ports forwarded/open. I have a hardline Ethernet cable connected to my system now and am still getting dropped.

I am having connection issues with Xbox 360/Xbox Live and Xfinity/Comcast. I tried all the port configuration settings on my system and have all ports forwarded/open. Was still getting dropped at random times from 30 seconds to 15 minutes into an online
gaming session. Right now I'm playing Destiny, but I believe from what I've read that this happens across all online games on Xbox Live. Now I have a hardline Ethernet connection to my system and am STILL getting dropped in the exact same way with a hardline
connection. This proves its not the network, but some incompatibility with Comcast and Xbox. please help! This is super frustrating. About to give up. Anyone else have Comcast and was able to fix the dropping issues? My wireless network connection was
SOLID until the latest router update was pushed out yesterday by Comcast. What do I do? Now even with an ethernet connection, I am getting dropped for Xbox live during game play.

Huge connection issues on online games and with Xbox live

First thing to try would be a wired connection as it could be an issue with the wireless receiver.

Recently replaced xbox 360 with slim but connection issues still occur, but they are very slight, but noticeable, like some major lag spikes. also recently read that xbox one issues have been resolved and that us 360 users have been left with many problems.
are Microsoft going to do anything about it? no, because if they fixed the problems on 360, they wouldn't be able to push sales out for the xbox one. Please Microsoft, fix your xbox 360 live before we all give up on you entirely and go to playstation, because
I am not forking over £400 for an xbox one with barely any games when soon your going to do the whole thing again.

    Xbox Live Stability

It's not always on MS side that connections are bad.

It can be things like bad connection on your own side, or server side issues at the game servers (not Xbox live, but actual game servers).

And yes.. sometimes the Xbox Live servers may have issues as well.

Don't forget that online activity made a huge jump since 2002/2003 and will continue to do so over the coming years.

More activity means the need of a better connection and more serverside capacity.

    Huge connection issue

I've followed the guide lines and have connected it via ethernet and still get the same message that both NAT and service info is unavailable
    Thanks for the details,

Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console and please provide the following information. Using both a WiFi connection and a Direct Wired
    connection to the Internet Modem.

    • Download Speed
    • Upload Speed
    • Latency
    • Packet Loss %
    • Wireless Strength (if applicable)
    • Modem Manufacturer
    • Router Manufacturer (if being used) as well as the model number

That information will help us determine the next best steps.

    Thanks!
