HUGE ANNOYING PROBLEM WITH GAME DVR

Like most people I use the "XBOX RECORD THAT" function and think its great .... BUT............

there is no option separately turn off auto recording of achievements.

this is hugely irritating when playing most games like FIFA14 or PEGGLE 2 because the GAME DVR will auto record atleast 5 videos EVERY SINGLE GAME.

eg. = My goalkeeper makes a diving save, it records, he punches the ball out,
it records, i score a chip or a long shot or a diving header or many other goals, it records.

wouldnt it be better if it only recorded achievements the 1st time you achieve it and that 1 time only? if i do something worth recording, I MYSELF WILL DECIDE TO RECORD IT.

This is a problem millions of people are having and can be easily fixed by allowing us to turn off recording of achievements without having to disable the GAME DVR completely.

in addition, this problem is magnified by the fact that we are unable to select multiple clips for deletion when managing our GAME DVR.

Why not also add a funtion to select many videos at a time and then delete them all?

i currently have to browse dozens, if not hundreds of crappy goalkeeper saves n deflection clips in order to dig out something worth saving and then have to sort by saved only clips just to see what i wanted to see.

its got to the point where i barely use the function atall because its so time consuming and i actually got the XBOX ONE for the recording feature, kinda let down to be honest.

anyone having this problem should comment, lets try to get it noticed and fixed.

DVR problems.

Yes I have this problem and its really annoying. Having the DVR recording makes FIFA14 slow, sluggish and delayed in gameplay online and offline so I like to stop the DVR recording. Now however even with DVR turned off it keeps recording and saving the annoying
auto record clips.

This has been happening since the last system update.

I Don't have any problem getting online. My DVR is being a little annoying that's the only thing.

 

Unfortunately there is little you can do about this at the moment as it is up to the devs what is recorded automatically. I do realise Peggle and FIFA can be very bad like this.

are recorded; it's up to the developers when it should record (usually when something specific happens, like a high score). If you don't want it to record so much, then don't score so high.

 

may I ask now those recordings bother or interfere with you? they take up no space on your HDD as they are all cloud stored. So a small clip recorded notification pops up....

I do agree a multiple selection would be nice... but they are MUCH faster to delete while on your tablet.... and in the next few updates.. we should be getting more clip control via the smartglass app...

Trials is pretty bad for it too. I saw it record about 5 of the same achievement :/

The multiple-delete is a nice idea though. If you want to provide feedback in the hopes of having it implemented I would go ahead and create a feedback thread in the below section. Though like hell said, smartglass is a good way to monitor them.

a simple and great function , but team xbox makes it feel like crap, i really dont know what these ppl thinking ...
