This is not related to what channel you are using. It relates to the decurity profile used to login to.you wifi networks. You have it set to something thr Xbox cant use. WPA2 is probably the best for the password.

Have you tried 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254

- Your are trying use Xbox Live in not released Region as Vibroplex said.

- Also as Vibroplex said ISP wasnt tested for use Xbox Live also router not tested for use Xbox Live.

supports WiFi 802.11b/g/n which means that must works.

Other option to try Wireless Metwork (that may give you MTU error) its "Specify Unlisted Network" , this as you said in your mobile phone its shown and know password you have the network name and password. Ok.. to the steps/path:

Settings > System > Network Settings > Advanced Opotions > Specify Unlisted Network > Enter Wireless Name (SSID) then Wireless Password.

Conclusion: I think the main issue its that ISP/Router wasnt tested for use Xbox Live plus that in your region wasnt lauched service yet.

I know that you have service before but i this microsoft cant assure service in regions where Xbox Live wasnt lauched yet.
