    • Gateway: 192.168.254.254
    • Username: admin
    • Password: admin



    How to Find Firmware Version

    1. Connect a computer to the gateway with an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the address 192.168.254.254 into the web address bar.
    4. This will take you to a login page, type admin for the “Password”.
    5. Once logged in select the System on the left side.
    6. Select Device Information in the subcategory.
    7. The current Software version will be listed on the main page.
    Firmware Update

    Note: You will need to download the firmware from the ISP website or the manufacturer’s webpage.

    1. Connect a computer to the gateway with an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the address 192.168.254.254 into the web address bar.
    4. This will take you to a login page, type admin for the “Password”.
    5. Select System on the left hand column.
    6. Select Upgrade in the subcategory.
    7. On the main page click on the select option and locate your downloaded firmware file on your computer.
    8. Once you have selected the firmware file, and are ready to update, select the Upgrade option.
      (This process can take several minutes to complete, be sure not to interrupt this process or the device may fail).

    This is not related to what channel you are using. It relates to the decurity profile used to login to.you wifi networks. You have it set to something thr Xbox cant use. WPA2 is probably the best for the password.

    Could you access the Huawei B593 web-utility interface and make sure the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) is set to a value, higher than 1364.
