    HP ENVY 32 monitor & Xbox remote control


    Hello,

    I own HP ENVY 32 monitor (with integrated speakers), XBOX one & XBOX remote control.

    Unfortunately,I cannot control monitor speakers (neither mute, nor volume up/down) via XBOX remote control.

    I cannot find working remote code etc.

    Is there any way I can get XBOX remote to control the volume of monitor?

    XBOX 360 UNIVERSAL REMOTE (CAME WITH HDDVD DRIVE)

    Hey I wanted to know why my remote can control my HP computer without pointing it at the infrared receiver on my PC. It doesn't matter what way I point the remote the controller wirelessly controls my PC. If the remote has wireless built into it why
    do we even have the infrared on the front of the remote? The PS3 Remote uses Bluetooth to control the PS3.
    All the xbox 360 controllers are wireless. I hate infrared since you can't have anything in the way of the remote control and the receiver on the system itself.

    Just so we're on the same page, when you mention the Xbox One remote control, are you referring to the

    Media Remote     or the Xbox One
    controller    ?

    If this is in regards to the media remote, let's try out our

    troubleshooter     when you get a chance. In addition to that guide we recommend reaching out to the monitors
    manufacturer to explore some possible options & for some more insight regarding the compatibility between your monitor & the Xbox One remote control.

    I had checked the troubleshooter before, but it didn't help unfortunately. I am simply unable to control volume or turn off/on my monitor using Xbox One remote control. It happens despite I add my HP ENVY 32 as a TV (in fact Xbox recognized it automatically
    and assigned T1642 remote code).

    Is there any other code I could use to be able to control my HP monitor via media remote?

    can I plug my x box one s into my hp envy
    Only if your setup has and HDMI in port and I believe video capture ability.

    Now, if you have Windows 10 you can use the Xbox control app to stream your Xbox to your Envy then use the monitor to play (I do this if I want my big screen for other purposes.).
