    Hardware or software?

Well I just got my Directv back on. Have a 4k LG,4k receiver, and an xbox one s as well. I have read a forum that's several months old and found out there's no 4k passthrough. If it's a software problem, has it been solved using update?

How's the Xbox One hardware/software reliability?

I got mine day 1, I have no complaints about the hardware, it's quite and runs cool.

Software is a little glitchy, been dashboarded during games a few time, I'd say maybe once a week or so, the new UI takes a little bit to use to but for me it has become very natural.

I'd also suggest that before you jump ship you spend a bit of time with a X1 if you can.

I think both systems will have their share of issues but would be a shame to jump only to find you didn't like where you land.

i own both consoles and i love them both so why not just save money to get the xbox one so down the road you wont regret nothing and u have 2 great consoles with there own exclusives but that is my own opinion i have no issues with both of mine

Have a Day 1 and have had zero hardware issues with the console itself. Cool quiet and faster then 360 in nearly all aspects. Had a dodgy controller but others I have are good. Only software issue is the one stated above which is some of my games (digital)
don't boot until a hard reset sometimes ( probably once every 2 weeks). I'm impressed with MS regularly adding features back to the UI. Your choice though and games you want to play.

Mine is a day one I've had no issues. I use it regularly. I don't think I've went a day since launch without it on lol.

People that are in the Beta are testing new software that is not finished and will have bugs. To make a comment here about your console is really dumb.

I'm not in the beta and my console works really well, completely satisfied.

By beta software I assume you all are talking about beta versions of the core Xbox One OS? Also in response to one earlier persons suggestion owning both just isn't feasible these days. Married with a kid in the future and thusly my time and funds are more
limited so one console is really all I have the time and money to dedicate to. Literally my gaming time is about 15 hours a week these days sometimes less (which is what makes the current PS4 issue so infuriating is the last thing I want to do is fight with
the console with what time I do have)

In addition a question, I heard the first models of the Xbox One had some issues with grinding disc drives? I remember having a 360 or two with this issue. Has this issue since been resolved with the Xbox One? Or is it still a concern?

  12. I think it's still a concern, Holy, but it's a rare one. In addition, if you do end up with a console with the grinding disc-drive, you can send it in to be repaired/replaced (free of charge, I believe).

How's the Xbox One hardware/software reliability?

no problems here, and only 1 person on my friends list has had hardware problems (out of about 20 with XO's), and I am not sure there not down to him, because he's nearly 60 and not that computer savy, but still loves it.

Well if it's within warranty it'd have to be free =p that said anyone have any info oh how rare it is? Or full speculation at this point?

    Cheers
