How's the game coming along?

Been playing the game since launch and I'm still enjoying it. The first expansion was released back in December called The Dark Below, added a bunch of a new content including a new quest line, a new strike, a new raid, level cap increase to 32, new exotic
gear for each class, new exotic weapons, max weapon damage increased to 331, and more legendary gear and weapons. Also, the second expansion, House of Wolves, is due out probably in the next month or two and is supposed to offer similar additions as the first
expansion, increased level cap, new raid and strikes, new gear, etc.

They've also fixed a lot of the problems they had back in the early days. Far less KTO errors, heavy ammo glitched is fixed, faction rep can be used to purchase materials, there's more ways to get Ascendant materials, weapons have been balanced a few times
to make each weapon type good in its own way, public events are more frequent, and much more. All little things but they've tackled quite a few so its definitely added up to just a much more polished experience.

So how are the maps and game play coming along?

Since Shadow Jago has one, yes we can expect Ultimates at some point, but I really wish they weren't being made.

For me all this cheesy, non-gameplay stuff like Ultimates, No Mercies and Stage Finishers achieve nothing but tickling someone's nostalgia. I would rather every second of time IG had to spend on S2 went into characters, gameplay and modes.

It makes me shudder every time someone asks them to waste their time on this sort of nonsense.

Why do people want these things over, say, getting new characters and modes quicker or having more resource for bug fixing.

IMO the only consideration until the cast is up to at least 24 should be getting the next 8 out and getting the third season out as soon as possible afterwards.

Every pointless bauble that happens entirely outside of gameplay like finishers is wasting resource and slowing everything down.
