How's everyone liking the beta so far?

Go outside....and play destiny.

 

I love it! Can't wait to pick it up in September!

 

I've become impressed with the AI, especially in the set pieces (limited spawn zones etc). Though they always spawn in the same place it seems no matter how many times you re-spawn yourself, they don't always behave the same and they know when to retreat
and when to press.

If the Captains are example of higher level AI there's gonna be some pain.

 

Loving it and having a blast with my buddies. Only small gripe I have is it doesn't look much better than some 360 games. Again, not a big deal but I wish this was a XO & PS4 only game so they could really push things.

The beta was amazing, and challenging in a good way. I played with a few of my friends, and did all you could do basically. I can't wait for the release of this game, it will be so much better. Higher levels, more story missions, more loot, 1080p, etc.

I look forward to seeing you all out there on the battleground!

 

Im playing hunter level 6 so far the game graphics feels soft the controls feel right and the rpg elements and mmo give it a different vibe but the only thing i dislike well is a beta of course is that the game disconnect a lot from servers. and that kill
the moment for me. hope they fix that in full game when it come out.

 

It's a must buy. I've been craving a BOrdelands, Mass Effect, Dragon Age type game since XBO launch.

 

I havnt put much time into it, however, while I was impressed with the gameplay, I was not so impressed with the visuals. The city and backgrounds feel washed out to me. Thankfully, the graphics are not that important to me, so I am looking forward to putting
in a few more hours tomorrow before the beta ends and likely buying it in september.

 

Really enjoying the game, but the MP needs a SERIOUS overhaul. Loot is rewarded randomly, at best. I can melee kill someone, and before they die, they still have time to get a few more shots off to kill me somehow. And the secondary weapons need some
tweaking (why is a shotgun killing me with one shot from ten feet away?)

 

I must be playing a different game. Controls don't feel precise at all. Hard to turn sometimes and the glide function is bad at best. Still playimg it but I'm far fro. Impressed. This generation of games for Xbox1 is a huge disappointment. I wish I was
impressed by this title

 

this is the first beta I have ever played, and it seems FREAKING AWESOME!!!.... to me.... at first I didn't want to play it because I wanted to play the full game, but then it was free, and I was like, oh what the heck, as long as I have the understanding
that this is now the full game, why not. I played for 10 minutes before I had to go to work, fell in love like I did with halo, was just expecting a game with a gun like call of duty, ended up with a free roam game and a beautiful scenery. can not wait to
get back home to see how it is to play with other people

 

Here are my general thoughts for Destiny, a game that pre-Titanfall reveal was the #1 game for "most anticipated on Xbox One" list.

I love MMO's, I'm digging the loot and currency systems in the game, and I like the skill trees. I've dabbled in all three Guardians. In love with the Warlock, as I feel like I am playing a first person Mass Effect.

The combat is a nice surprise. I figured after playing primarily Titanfall for a few months, the combat would be slow and boring. While it does feel slower, playing against NPC's allows for a completely different play style than TF so it's actually a refreshing
change of pace. It's also feels a little tighter than Halo, with ADS a legitimate option on non sniper weapons.

The Story seems like a big disappointment so far. Obviously you can't get too far into it during the Beta, but already throwing around generic" Use the Light to push back the Darkness" lines means there better be really a intriguing explanation or it will
just come across as cheesy.

Coop is a lot of fun, a little bummed you can't play more than 3 people (except max level raids), but I'll survive. I get it for story missions, but I don't see why you can't bring a 6 man fire team into the Explore maps. AI is good so far.

Tried the PvP, found it slow and boring, and I don't anticipate playing it at all. Titanfall still holds the crown for best Competitive FPS out there right now, for me at least (which should go without saying as this whole post is just my opinion).

Overall, I'm not canceling my preorder, and it will give those in my titan fall crew something to do when 3 or less of us are on. I'm not blown away, but what I thought I would like (story) I don't and what I thought I wouldn't (combat) I really do.
