How would i connect my Creative A550 to my xbox 1 S. The speakers use a 5.1 analog jack.

There's an
optical output. There are digital to analog audio adapters that cost about $20-$30 and will convert from optical to stereo analog audio.

Where are these read/white inputs on speakers? Speakers only have posts for speaker wire. The sound must first be processed & amlified through a receiver, before being sent out to the speakers. These "systems" you refer to are what's called HTiBs, and they
are not worth anything unless they happen to be an actual receiver, player & speakers that are simply packaged together. The actual all-in-one units that make up 99% of HTiB systems are self contained & often have extremely limited (if any) inputs. The OP
says he has limited funds. Why should he waste money, purchasing a 5.1 HTiB system, that he will probably only be able to connect his 360 to using the red & white analog stereo connetions? Unless he's going to go top o' the line in an HTiB, they are made to
be completely self contained. A receiver & disc player in one unit with prepackaged speakers. This being the case, there are (usually) no inputs for anything else. Even the speakers often use connections that are specific to the model or brand, making it extremely
difficult, if not impossible to even add or upgrade them.



The only other speaker systems I can think of would be something like a small, stereo shelf unit. These will usually have a set of red & white auxillary inputs. Something like this would be okay, but would be analog & stereo only. Then there are PC speakers.
I know PC speakers us small 3.5mm jacks. For a while I had one of my 360s connected to a PC monitor and 2.1 PC speakers. Luckily, my monitor had a 3.5mm audio out, so I was able to simply connect the speakers to the monitor's output. Not knowing the OP's setup,
I can't really say what he'd need to connect his 360 to PC speakers.

The Xbox One does have an optical audio out jack built in. You could just pick up a sweet little 5.1 powered speaker setup with optical audio in for under a 100 bucks, or just pick up one of these converters:www.amazon.com/.../ref=sr_1_2
