How Will "The Elder Scrolls Online" Make You Pay?

Do you guys think that this will be as good as Oblivion and Skyrim?

Played the beta and thought it played very similar to oblivion and skyrim. Hate how treasure chests work you have to find a remote one that no one knows about or hope that the person that gets there before you can't open the lock to have a chance at the
loot.

 

@Lei, based on all reviews I've read, the game is nowhere near as good as Oblivion or Skyrim and many people wish they'd just stop trying and would simply abandon the title and focus on TES VI already. I don't know what makes it so bad and if there will
be significant improvements for the console versions but I wouldn't have my hopes high.

I really enjoyed Oblivion a lot, but I was turned off by Skyrim due to the heavy emphasis in needing to craft your weapons / gear.

With that being said, I hope that this game will live up to the standards established by Oblivion and Skyrim.

My crafted skyrim weapons were insane. I could kill anything in a swipe or two. Skyrim wasn't as threatening and dark as Oblivion. I liked them both though. I also played Morrowind so long ago I barely remember it, but I do remember loving it. I also
remember acquiring some magic boots that allowed my character to fly and a crazy huge sand storm.

 

The pre-order edition is new. But the Imperial Edition is not and has been around since the PC launch. I got it in a sale due to it being extremely cheap and I like collecting game statues.

Game is ok I still play it on PC from time to time. Due to me buying the PC version I can buy the PS4 and Xbox One version for £12.99 if I want to.

 

What's this now about a chocolate teapot? I'd totally bite the snout off that!

As for this thread, I have more interest in a chocolate teapot then this game.

the game is 60$ if you want the imperial race pay more if you want free content you must be subed if you dont want to sub buy the content when it comes out simple

The game plays just fine. No idea why so many people hate it. Sometimes it feels like people bash this game just its cool (similar to the Bashes Xbox One received back in the days).

I have it on PC and get a Transfer for EUR 15. Can't wait to play it on the console.

Not sure if anyone played the beta. If you did I am pretty sure you can confirm how well this game actually plays. Graphics are very good (close to ultra settings on PC) and grouping is actually much easier.

I'd love for this go be great but wanting to charge a sub in the first place was greedy after they freely admitted that "Skyrim" surpassed their wildest dreams and expectations as far as profits and success goes.

I don't understand why people keep wanting to compare apples to oranges... in a manner of speaking.

Asking if ESO will be as good as Skyrim/Oblivion isn't really asking a fair question. One is a SP game, the other is an MMO. There will be differences... big ones, in some aspects.

It's a bit like asking which is better... Halo's SP or its MP. Wouldn't most people answer with "Depends on which you prefer more, or like to play."?

The difference here is that you have purchased the SP version of the game already (if you've played Skyrim/Oblivion, which I have) and this is the MP offering. I will be getting this game, but the one thing I won't be doing is comparing if it's as good as
its SP counterpart.

I do not expect it to be the same as, therefore I can not expect it to be 'as good as'. I will judge it upon its own merit.
