How to use Xbox Companion instead of Xbox Beta

That specific panel is what I am trying to avoid it at least in my 2 desktops has been extremely buggy nine times out of ten its unusable so I guess my best course of action is just waiting for it to leave beta and actually work, seems strange for invites
to only go through the beta app now being it is a beta.

Party invites notifications have been removed from the companion app and have been moved to the game bar (WIN+G to open). There is a panel called Xbox Social when you open it; it should be the one on top right by default. That panel is marked as "beta"
too so I honestly don't know if it is more stable tan the Xbox app right now, but you might give it a try and compare.

Try using the xbox companion app on Windows instead not the xbox app.

Hey I was having the same issue as you. This might help...

Instead of launching it via Xbox (beta) launch it from Xbox Console Companion. Go to My Games (the icon below the house) click on Halo: The Master Chief collection. It will tell you to install Reach. Click install. Then go back and relaunch it from the Xbox
Console Companion app.

Thank you for keeping us updated. Have you attempted using the console companion app instead of the Beta app? Forza horizon 4 is a Play anywhere title, so with the
Xbox gamepass that you have you should be able to install it and use the Console companion app tp launch the game.

Aside from that, if you would like to continue using the Beta app for this game then I recommend uninstalling the beta app and then re-installing it.
