How to use USB headphones on XBox One S?

My son got a new headset from his grandma for Christmas. They do not work when just connecting to the usb on the xbox. Is there an adapter I can buy, or how can I get them to work?

You would need to use a 3.5mm jack or an Xbox stereo headset adapter

You can check for that kind of adapter. Be careful to choose the usb (2.0 or 3.0) that you need and that your controller can take a 3.5 jack !!!! Hope this helps you.

You cannot use corded USB headsets on Xbox. You need a headset with a 3.5mm connector on it.

When purchasing a headset check to make sure it has an Xbox logo on the box to be assured that it works on Xbox One.

Xbox One does not support USB headphones.

USB is for controller charging purposes only, not for use unless you use the xbox adapter. Connecting your headphones to the console's USB port will not allow audio to work on your headphones.
