How to use phone as a controller

I am on holiday. I have my xbox but no controller. On the Xbox app it says type the code on screen but there is no code on screen. I've read it has to be on the same WiFi but I can't set up the WiFi on my xbox because I have no controller. Is there anyway to fix this?

depends if you charged it for 16 hours on first use and on how much you use the controller. Mine lasts a good 3 days without charge it's like getting a new mobile phone the advice you to charge the phone for 16 hours to calibrate the battery it's like that

In many places to go back to previous field you can hit the "enter" button ( the one next to the big X on the right) and than you can move the cursor to the field you need to change. In other situation hit "enter" than B and than move cursor. Place it on
the field to correct and start to type.
