How to use Alexa to tell the xbox to play the inserted blu ray

Xbox is working perfectly and is connected with Alexa thru it’s app. Some commands work fine but it’s not a great experience. To be honest the only simple feature I really want to work is the command “Alexa tell Xbox to play blu ray”

”eject disk” works so I use this as a work around as all I do then is slide the blu ray into the xbox and it starts playing, but it’s not exactly automation.

It’s a minor issue but screwing up a routine I’m getting going in my cinema

    :)

Get used to that. The future is only digital and soon you will have to resort into using only digital movies purchased or rented from the MS marketplace.

My Xbox One is refusing to read games

A friend of mine has the same problem, his console keeps telling him to insert a blu-ray disc, etc. I think the blu-ray drive is just on it's way out.

Blu-ray will not play correctly on Xbox one

Hello Brian J, my name is zahir.

I will try to assist you. Please can you tell me exactly what is happening when you play a blu ray disc?

I can provide you with some basic tips so long.

Set up and install the Blu-ray and DVD player app on Xbox

To watch Blu-ray or DVD movies on your Xbox console, you first need to install the Blu-ray Player app. To install the app, choose one of the following options.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select Home, and then select Store.

Select Search and enter Blu-ray in the search bar. Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears in the list of results.

Select Install to download and install the app.

Insert a Blu-ray or DVD disc into your Xbox.

Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears.

On the Blu-ray Player app details page, select Install.

Your disc should start playing automatically.

After the app is installed, you can watch Blu-ray or DVD movies by inserting the disc into your Xbox console and selecting Blu-ray Player on the Home screen, or by finding it under My games & apps

    Thank you

Regular Blu Ray not playing at XBox One

XBox does not recognize any Blu Ray disc movie. I tried other Blu Ray discs and they didn't work too. But when I insert a 4K movie, it plays.

My disc dive isn't spining. 0x80820002

Try inserting a Blu Ray disk and see if it prompts you to install the Blu Ray app.
