How to use a USB Headset?

Hey everyone.

I guess I just broke my headset that comes with the Xbox One, and now I'm trying to use a new one. The problem is I don't know what to do. I have a USB headset (Plantronics GameCom 788 if that helps) that I mainly use for my PC, and I want to know how
to use that for my Xbox One microphone. Do I plug it into the side of my xbox or something? Into my TV? I don't know. Thanks ahead of time to anyone who can help.

Hi PiddlingHawk482, for now you could use a USB flash drive, I would use a 16GB one, that way you can install the game to the usb and any saves can be saved on there too. Instructions on how to use a usb flash drive are here

the xbox one doesnt work with usb headsets yet only specially licensed ones like the turtlebeach Stealth 500x or the Elite 800X work with USB on the transmitter plus optical out.

you might want to check for headsets that use a single 3.5mm jack as a connection like the razer kraken or Turtlebeach X0 One/Four/Sevens and other ones that either come with a propietary Stereo Chat adapter or IF you have one of the new controllers with
the 3.5mm Jack built in just a straight pluug in then. i am sure there are also lots of adapters that combine 2 3.5 mm jack headsets to a 1 3.5mm jack. the choice is all yours.

The Astro headsets will use usb only and that is the basis of my question. Also, my other headset audeze Penrose X will use a usb dongle.

Usb headsets are supported as long as they have the proper compatibility. I use a RIG 800LX its usb and wireless. If the headset isnt a gaming headset it may not work correctly.

xbox one does not support usb headset, they do not support audio over usb at all.

the only way is 3.5 mm or wireless headsets that use optical for the base station.

all usb headsets that say they support xbox don't, they work on ps4 but xbox not a chance, i own several usb headset that state they work with xbox one.
