How to use a back up save on the hard drive??? HELP

Hello, I was playing Borderlands 2 and the other day when I started all my stuff had disappeared, and I had to start the Ultimate mode from the start again. And I was told to use the back-up file. I have no idea how to get the game to use that file and
not the bad one. I hope someone can help.

You can try to use a USB thumb drive to use the console while the internal hard drive is removed.

If you can I would save any saves you want onto this USB drive first before removing your hard drive till you get a new a hard drive.

But it does sound like the hard drive is going bad.

Sounds like your having a Hard drive problem - you should back up all you game saves to a USB stick and use that till you can replace the hard drive.

Where did you receive that advice from? The 360 doesn't really have "back up files"

 

I look at my hard drive and there is a gamesave for that character and then another one that's called the same thing with (backup) after it. Sorry should've called it gamesaves.

 

That's the one done by Gearbox, oddly its not something you can use, its there for if your save is corrupted, the game will realise this and use the backup.

Sadly, as your save appears to have simply rolled back, not corrupted to the point of not been usable, the system doesn't offer you the opportunity to use it.

Hmmm... I wonder if I remove the actual save to a flashdrive, remove flashdrive if it will read the backup?? I may try that
