How to upgrade to an adult account?

aye my name is luke, u can call me jesus v2 tho. now my account is considered a child account even tho im 18 and got a bigger dinger than most A dolts. its really dumb cuz i cant even set a custom gamer pic so im just trying to get rid of these restrictions.
i aint tryna fax over my debit card to microsoft thats just ridiculous so just take my word for it bill gates and fix my sh*t.

Upgrade children account to adult, how?

Hi,

I need support regarding my sons windows/xbox account. He wants to create a club but the system won´t let him. It say´s that we need to change the security/account settings but that´s already done. He has permisson to join and create clubs. My next test
was to change his account to adult, but I can´t find any solution for this! Can anyone help me?

Whether an account is considered an adult or not is based on a couple things.

1. Date of birth that was set on account when account was originally setup. This can not be changed even if it is changed on the website it will not change and would not be made an adult till it hits its 18th birthday.

2. If the date of birth has reached its 18th birthday when the account was originally setup if you are under another accounts family as a child. If your date of birth is above 18 and you are a child under a family you would need to sign into any adult account
in that family at account.microsoft.com/family and remove the child account from the family and that would put your account into its own family as an adult.

Keep this in mind if the date of birth has not reached its 18th birthday for its date of birth when the account was originally setup and you remove it from the family your account will be blocked from being able to do ANYTHING till its added to an adults
family whether its the original one it was taken off of or a new one.

The adult account need to upgrade to adult or wait until the child account becomes adult in prder to change it...

You will either have to download the game on an Xbox 360 or upgrade your account to an adult.

Hi,

I the easiest way to fix this issue is ring 0800 587 1102 and speak to an advisor they should be able to assist as this happened to me for some reason the console just wouldn't let me update the information but they`ll be able to do it over the phone
