How to upgrade Destiny Content to Xbox One

Hi all,

I bought Destiny: Limited Ed (Disc) on Xbox 360 when it first was released.

It came with the Season Pass giving me the DLC for The Dark Below and The House Of Wolves.

I then bought The Taken King Expansion through the Xbox Store (Digital).

I have recently purchased an Xbox One and can't figure out how I am to go about getting Destiny (with all 3 DLC I currently own) along with the new DLC Rise Of Iron on the Xbox One for me to continue playing.

I read somewhere if you were a day one customer you could get destiny download on Xbox One for free?

Went to go to download it in the Xbox Store but it is a trial only?

I have since uninstalled it but can't seem to find on the site a straightforward answer -

Does this essentially mean I am to fork out another $100.00+ again to get it all on Xbox One?

Destiny, the Taken King did not receive digital edition collectors upgrade

According to the Xbox Store page for
Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition, that content is not included in the pack you purchased. If you are interested in the Collector's Edition content, you would need to purchase the

Destiny: The Taken King Collector's Edition Upgrade separately.

Destiny collection upgrade help

Okay guys, I found the information from Bungie and they say that players who own Destiny: The Taken King on their xbox360 can upgrade their Destiny content, to Xbox One by purchasing Destiny - The Collection Upgrade.

It is only available for digital purchase and players must upgrade within the same console family (that means going from xbox360 to Xbox One). You also need the Xbox Gamertag that owned the content on the xbox360.

If you have then go to the xbox store and search for Destiny The collection upgrade. Scroll down to the games section and click on Destiny The collection upgrade (it will say bundle underneath it).

Look in the top right hand corner of the page and sign in.

Look at the grey box where it said "coming soon", it should now show you the amount that it will cost to purchase it.

From there you just need to click it and buy it.

that's not true I bought the limited edition and still cannot upgrade even though it was stated on the receipt I would be able to upgrade when I purchased and XBOX ONE and have since been denied. It was stated a free upgrade. no charge no money.

 

There was an offer to upgrade for free, but it was for a limited time (it ended January 15, 2015). Still, the upgrade offers are done through the publishers and not Microsoft.

 

There is a sticky post in another forum mentioning an Upgrade available to users who own the 360 content.

Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.

It looks like the Upgrade link in that post is wrong, though-- it just links to the non-Upgrade product listing again. (I just PM'd the author.) This looks like the correct item, but I don't own Destiny so I can't confirm pricing or availability:

A Bungie page says that the upgrade is US $40, and available through January 31, 2017.
