    How to get around region lock?

    I just recently relocated to Okinawa Japan and I got lucky and picked up Black Ops for $10 now of course I can't purchase any of the DLC content and I've spent numerous hours on google looking this up. The one thing I have yet to find is if I have a friend
    of mine log onto xbox.com on his computer back in Texas and have them purchase the DLC map packs will that work?

    The part that you highlighted pertains solely to your Xbox Live account, not to the games themselves. You console (not your account) is preventing you from playing region locked games. If you change the region of your account
    (NOT RECOMMENDED), that will not "unlock" those games. The only way to play region lock PAL games is to buy a PAL console.
