how to unlink MS account from old PSN account?

I understand you need help unlinking a PSN account from your Xbox accout.

Just a heads up that unlinking this would really require you to have access to your PSN account because that is where you also need to unlink it from your Xbox account.

There is no option from the Xbox account to unlink the PSN account unfortunately because this was linked through PSN in the first place. You would need to recover the PSN account in order for you to do that.

Update: I was able to re-log into my old account, but when I try to unlink the account I keep getting an error than involves the internet connection not working

The exact message is:

"SOMETHING WENT WRONG

Your accounts were not able to be unlinked. Maybe check your internet connection?"

I know for a fact my internet is working fine

Hello Joe, unfortunately the link and unlink of accounts is done by the account owner, in your case you would even have to have access to the cona that owns that link.

If you have access to your Microsoft account, you can click the link below and sign in with your account and verify which services and developers are linked to your Microsoft account.

We understand the inconvenience caused. As per description, you wanted to unlink your Microsoft account from your old PSN and you wanted to link to the new PSN account. Let us check on this together and sort this out to assist your concern.

Can you try to do this.

Log in to your Microsoft account | Home, Click on "Privacy" at the top, then scroll down to "Apps & Services" and click on the link below that "Apps and services that can access your data" that will show all apps and services that are hooked in to your Microsoft Account. From there, you'll want to look for the specific app or game you're seeing issues with. I'm not sure how Minecraft on PS4 will show, but you can click "Edit" when you find it and then remove that permission from your account. That will remove that connection and should prompt you to reconnect your Microsoft Account to Minecraft when you launch on PS4, and then you can add the proper account.
