    How to Type Name in Game (When xCloud won't recognize your keyboard)?


    I just started The Outer Worlds, and as you begin the game, you need to enter your character's name. However, using a PC, xCloud won't recognize my keyboard. How do I get around this? I can't move forward in the game without typing something into the character name section. Help please.

    I heard Keyboard and mouse support is coming to Microsoft's Xbox Cloud Gaming service.

    I do believe that the support for mouse and keyboard will reach to Xcloud games, and yes it will be great for some PC players to be able to use cloud games with this peripherals, but when will this happen or if will happen soon, we won't know it until it's announced by Xbox

    Hello Giselacashin, I don't think it's possible, if Xcloud isn't recognizing it unfortunately it won't be possible.

    Xbox won't allow me to sign into any profiles

    Same problem. Won't let us sign in or create a new profile. When typing in name of new profile and select done it just goes back to keyboard screen to type in name of player. Tried updating system, formatting, clearing cache etc. Everything stays as
    is and doesn't change. Can't sign in!

    Keyboard doesn't work on a game that supports it on Xbox streaming.

    That's because you are using the wrong platform

    You gotta remember you are using the xbox version on a pc

    That's why your are seeing it in menu

    That's your mistake

    Xcloud only supports controllers

    But on the xbox or the pc you can use keyboard if the games support it

    You have to.directly install it not use xcloud as mentioned. You can use keyboard on an actual xbox or pc

    I think it is needed to add support of keyboard and mouse when streaming via xcloud in PC.
