How to turn on the Xbox One S with a wireless controller

I just bought an Xbox One and I had a small problem because, with another Xbox One, I Used to turn on the console from the wireless controller and even when I turned off the console, all the connected controls also went off and in this new console nothing
happens, how can I solve it?. I apologize for my English i'm still learning.

So I have an Xbox One S with two wireless Xbox One Controllers already paired to it. But I recently got a Windows 10 PC and I want to pair one of the controllers to my PC. But I don't how to do that. When I turn my controller on, with a usb connected from
the controller to the pc, my Xbox console turns on. How do I pair my wireless controller, that is already paired with my console, to the PC? Do I have to disconnect the controller from the console (and if so, why)? Please answer this for me and thank you Microsoft.

The god news is that you still can do that!

As a first step, I'd suggest you to verify that your controller is correctly synced by following these instructions: How to Sync an Xbox One Wireless Controller with Your Console

 

I would also connect it to the console, via a micro USB and go to settings>kinect & devices>devices & accessories to check the firmware is up to date.

Normally , as soon as you turn on the Xbox one (for the 1st time) , you should see on the screen the guide button flashing ( so press it on the controller ) then you should see press A , so controller is sync automatically .

After that, you will be able to turn on / turn off the console with your controller.

Yes, That happened, but when I wanted to turn the console on (the Next day) it didn't work. The controller turned on normally, but the console didn't

I had the same problem few days ago.

The way I fixed is to connect the controller via USB Cable and let it sync again.

It didn't fix it the first time so I did a power cycle turning off the console and removing the power cable for 15 seconds.

After that I did it again and it worked
