    How to turn off Parental protection? (PC)


    I'm trying to play Deep Rock Galatic but this thing keeps popping on my screen, it says that I have to ask permission from an adult, a thing that I don't understand because the account is mine and there isn't any other account linked. But even if I push the button that "asks for permission" it says that something went wrong.

    Help on eliminating this parental protection thing!

    Can you check your privacy settings please?

    https://account.xbox.com/en-US/Settings

    Make sure that under Privacy, Xbox One/ Windows 10 online safety, everything is set as ALLOW and EVERYONE.

    Note: If you own a child account, make sure to ask the adult account of the family to change the settings, okay?

    Hi! My name is Pam. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'll be glad to help you today.

    Open Settings then System -> Apps -> Apps & features -> look for Microsoft Store and click it. ->The advanced options link will appear. Click it. -> On the next page, click on the Reset button to reset Microsoft Store to default settings.

    After that, kindly sign out and sign back in on both the Microsoft store app and Xbox app.

    Changing my age ?

    You cannot change the age but you can turn off Parental Controls. See:
    support.xbox.com/.../parental-control     for the steps (that document tells you how to turn them on but it is the same steps for turning them off... You can see the Off option in the image).

    Hi, yes that will solve it but the firewall is there to provide protection for your PC, so you would be better off finding out how to let the Xbox traffic through on your firewall so you can turn it back on

    Just a heads up, if your account is part of a family group, only the parent account can change the settings on the account.
