    How to turn off controller sleep mode?


    I use mouse and keyboard when gaming on Xbox.

    The controller keeps switching off after inactivity timeout causing the game I play to display a message blocking multi-player gaming.

    The controller used to never switch off a long time ago. Then it started switching off and I found a solution by connecting the controller to the Xbox via a USB cable.

    Recently this also stopped working and now the controller switches off even when connected.

    I have swapped out three different cables. I tried different USB ports. I tried different controllers. Everything behaves the same - the controller shuts off after a time out (I think 15 minutes) even when connected via a USB cable.

    I cannot find any options to change this behavior. It seems that some Xbox update changed this behavior recently.

    Please help me find a solution or fix the problem. Please do not recommend wiggling the controller once every few minutes.

    Hello Michail, unfortunately there is no option to turn off the controller's sleep mode.

    However, there is a tip you can do, it is to put an App like Spotfy with background music and put it at the minimum volume, with that sound will be coming out of the headset and it will not turn off.
