  1. How to Troubleshoot my Xbox One


    I got my Xbox as a hand-me-down a year ago. Worked fine until 2 days ago when it was struggling to connect to the internet. I was able to get that fixed with an ethernet cable. However, anytime I would try to launch a game it wouldn't load and ended up crashing, taking me to the Microsoft Store, or informing me that the profile who bought the game had to be signed in - which is me. The store would not load either and would promptly sign me out. I have tried a soft reset 3 times and a hard reset. I would then try to sign into a different account to see if the issues were the same but would not load the other accounts, sign me out, then ask for me to sign in again. I've contact GameStop, BestBuy, and Sony.

    My name is welcome to the community.

    Hello SirensWolf9816, I see you tried a soft reset and a hard reset on your console.

    In the meantime you tried to reset your console keeping games and apps, if you haven't tried it follow the procedure below.

    Xbox One reset keeping Games:

    Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

    Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

    Select Reset console.

    Restore and maintain my games and apps.

    Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

    Note: You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

    Do these issues persist after a power cycle? To do this, press and hold the power button on the Xbox One until your console fully powers down. If the issue continues, try a

    Factory Restore on your Xbox One
    console by selecting 'Reset and keep my games & apps'.

    since a factory reset or updating via usb doesn't seem to fix the issue the only option that remains is to have the console be repaired

    If you want to be really sure, you can contact Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at
