How to transfer games from an old account to my new account

Hey there bit of an odd question here I've been looking through the forums and trying to contact Microsoft support , Like alot of people you make a new account because your old one has a terrible gamer tag under a silly email from your childhood or your
parents used to pay and now you wanna be a responsible adult and control your own account!!!

I have recently been thinking about all the games that I had on an old account and I was wondering if it is possible to transfer my licences from the old account to the newer one

As far as I can tell (from the forum links bellow) you used to be able to do this but now your can't well I think this is a bit selfish if I can prove the old account was own by the same as the newer one surely i can transfer my games/licenses

Thumbs up if this is a good feature Microsoft should allow

Bought a new xbox....

I bought it because my old one couldnt install discs and its starting to fail on me. How do I transfer my account to the new xbox and all the credit card information?

Does anyone know how to transfer your games to a new Xbox account from an old account or to transfer your old Xbox account to a new email address? I’m not referring to making an alias by the way. I would really appreciate anyone’s help.

Nothing can be transferred between accounts. That's actually never been possible.

 

All of those things that you've mentioned, as a reason to create yourself a new profile, can all be applied to an already existing profile/account.

 

I'm not sure why that exist because the option has always been there

The idifference is it cannot be an existing Xbox account

This prevents things like marketplace theft and bypassing the terms of use

If an account is banned they forfeit everything

If it isn't it would be much simpler to change the windows live id associated with the account which has always existed or bite the bullet and pay for your own name change

And no transferring stuff to another account would be a violation of the terms of usr
