How to transfer a gamertag to a different Microsoft Account

Hello. Several years ago I bought my son an Xbox One. I set up a gamertag for him using my own Microsoft Account. He's been playing using that account for several years., he's collected achievements, we've purchased games and are using a Live subscription. Now
he's older and I would like to not have all this happening on my Microsoft Account.

I've created a new Microsoft Account using his email address. I would like to know how I can transfer his gamertag (including purchases, subscriptions, achievements, etc ) to this new Microsoft Account. How do I do this?

That link is instructions to simply change the email address on a MS account. That's not what I want to do. The account that my son is using is also used for other subscriptions that have nothing to do with his gaming, like Office 365, calendaring, OneDrive,
etc. I want to move all Xbox related services and purchases off of this account and to another MS account that I have set up specifically for him so he has his own account for this stuff as he gets older.

I could just create a new gamertag for his new MS account, but then he wouldn't have ownership of all the games we've purchased for him and he would lose all of his stats and achievements.

 

There is no way to transfer all the xbox related content to another MS account. You can change the email address connected with the account or you can change the GT on the account to free up for him to use on a new account. But all the content will remain
connected to the old MS account.
