how to take my offline account online. or merge with the online i created in my previous...

hi, i wasnt clear enough i think. so ill give you the long version.

a week ago i bought an old 360 and a disc copy of gta v. the initial profile i made to play it on was fine until the game needed to be online for the social club thing. tried that, get an error, cant connect. cant do anything online from xbox, errors every time.

so yesterday i went onto the xbox website on my laptop to try set it up. manage to get a profile going on website.

however, now the profile which is meant to be able to go online cant access the save of the game i did it for.

i simply want to be able to get my saved game to work online but it wont work.

note that neither of these accounts/profiles has ANY digital copies of games attached to them.

i have the disc. im just not impressed with getting all the way to the end of the game, only to find out that i cannot continue due to xbox problems.

thats the situation.

Unfortunately, there's not possible to merge accounts.

When you create an account, purchase games on it, play on it, every content is stored there and it is not transferable between accounts.

What happens when you try to use that account you have the game saved on it online?

On the first comment after the thread author, the user SteveWonda teachs how to transfer data from one profile to another using Horizon. It's from Mass Effect, but it works with any game.

You cannot move save files to another account. Save files are attached to the account that made them.

I'm afraid it's not possible, you can create an online account using the offline account on your Xbox 360, but you cannot merge an offline account to an online account that is already created.
