How to Sync xbox before reset

Make sure you are connected to the internet and xbox live for your locally game saves are synced to the cloud before doing the factory reset.

You won't lose saves as they are synced to the cloud, but before you do a reset, what issue are you having? you might not have to do a factory reset

Restoring your console to the factory default settings erases all accounts, apps, games, saved games, and settings. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. Your console syncs with Xbox Live automatically when it is connected with the service.



I suggest resetting your router before needing to go that route. You will need to access your router to reset it.

Reset XBOX 360 Failed System Updates

With the console off, press and hold the sync up button.

While holding the sync button press the power button to turn on the console

Continue to hold the sync button until the Console has booted up completely.

During the boot process the console should clear any failed updates, allowing you to use it normally.

Hi Lewis Lunaris, first of all i would suggest that you delete your cache folder then reset both your Xbox and router / modem. Make sure you're router / modem syncs AND authenticates before switching the Xbox back on.

I had the same problem and the steps above worked for me.
