    How to switch Gamertags between emails?


    So, I was stupid and ended up creating my Xbox console account with a different email from my PC, meaning I can't play games on my PC through the Xbox subscription.

    To solve this, I created another account through my PC email and wanted to swap my usernames with my console account. However, I just switched the original name I wanted thinking it would free it up for the other account, however it hasn't. When I try to
    claim it, it places a load of numbers after my gamertag when I know it's free.

    How can I get this name back? I am trying to contact customer support however their waiting times are really long and I feel like this is a minor issue compared to what others may have.

    Hi EmMelody You can't share a gamertag between different email cause it's link to one adress but you can change your email adress. Antother
    question: why didn't you tried to connect your microsoft account from your console on your pc instead the other account ?

    Somehow deleted the email for my gamertag...

    Your email address is not deleted, it's just not the one you're using.

    Sign in on your 360 and it'll switch between your gamertag and the email address that is associated with your gamertag. and that's the email you'd use to sign in with.

    If you just want to associate your tag with another email address then everything will go with it. All items are associated with the gamertag, not the email address. Here's a link for you to follow on how to switch the email associated with the gamertag.
