How to switch from IPv4 to IPv6?

For the last couple of days I've started playing on my Xbox again but with games such as Fortnite and COD: MWR I keep getting kicked out to the homescreen and set to offline. My Xbox says that my network is fine but that there are trouble with the service(s)
    of Xbox.

I think it has something to do with my type of connection that I use. Right now it is set to 'IPv4' and it's need to be
'IPv6' however I have no idea how to change settings like that.

Does anyone how to change it or a way so I can play properly again?

    :)

How to switch from IPv4 to IPv6

Does your service provider actually offer IPv6? Most every modem and router is capable of handling this new protocol, but if your ISP hasn't updated their equipment you won't be able to switch your protocol.

How to switch from IPv4 to IPv6?

IPV6 has to be supported by your router and your ISP. IPV6 is already built into Xbox and when it detects it you're set.

Comcast is my ISP and their network supports IPV6.

I have a netgear router that supports IPV6 and it's just a matter of logging in to the router and enabling the IPV6 feature.

    Switching to ipv6 from ipv4

Only your internet provider can give you ipv6 if they support it. If they do, then they can help switch it on for you. If you are successful, then your Xbox One should detect it, and automatically use it.

    : Switching to ipv6 from ipv4

    Hello Fallen Hexic!

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums! I will be happy to assist you today with the issue. As some of our Ambassador's mentioned before, the only way you can check to see if you can go from IPv4 to IPv6 is if you check with your ISP, or Internet
Service Provider. We do have some information about
    IPv4 and IPv6
on the Xbox website, which, I would recommend checking out for further assistance. However, I would strongly suggest asking your ISP for more info on your local network and router to see if they support IPv6 and how you can get it.

If you have any further questions feel free to reply back letting us know. Again, thank you for posting on Xbox Forums!

That depends on a few things. As far as your local network goes, do you have access to log into the settings of the router (username/password of admin account)? If so, it's quite possible, and would likely find it in the DHCP section. You can set it to
assign IPv6 IP Addressses to your local network. That can usually solve errors you might have with Teredo Tunneling reported in the Xbox App on Windows.

As far as it goes from your ISP, then you'd have to reach out to them and ask if it's enabled for your service, but that would be up to them on a business position or capability.

If you do have access to your Home Hub 3k, and have specific questions once you get in there, I'd be happy to help with specifics where I can!
