    How to switch to IPv6

    Hey there!

Nice to meet you! I'm Darhyl, a fellow gamer. I'm sorry you are experiencing this. I am here to help.

If I may ask, may I know which platform device are we referring to here, is it on Windows PC or Xbox console?

If it's on console, to switch from IPv4 to IPv6 on Xbox Series X, you can follow these steps:

On your Xbox Series X, go to Settings.

    Select Network.

    Select Advanced Settings.

    Select IP settings.

Change the "IPv6" setting from "Automatic" to "Manual."

Enter your IPv6 address, subnet prefix length, and default gateway information provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

    Save your changes.

Note that not all ISPs support IPv6, so you may need to contact your ISP to confirm if they do and obtain the necessary information to set it up on your Xbox Series X.

Thank you for your time. I hope you have a great day!

how do i go to ipv4 to ipv6

    Hi M B.

My name is Mauro and I am happy to help you.

For your Xbox console to connect to the Internet using IPv6, your home router must have IPv6 enabled and your Internet Service Provider (ISP) must support IPv6. If your ISP has already unblocked it, you need to check your router settings and make changes needed so it can switch to IPV6 To change it from the console:

    1. On the Xbox Series X console, go to Settings.
    2. Select Network.
    3. Select Advanced Settings.
    4. Select IP Settings. Change the "IPv6" setting from "Automatic" to "Manual". Enter the IPv6 address, subnet prefix length, and default gateway information provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
    5. Save your changes.

How to switch from IPv4 to IPv6?

IPV6 has to be supported by your router and your ISP. IPV6 is already built into Xbox and when it detects it you're set.

Comcast is my ISP and their network supports IPV6.

I have a netgear router that supports IPV6 and it's just a matter of logging in to the router and enabling the IPV6 feature.
