How to successfully connect to Hotel internet {Xbox 360}

I was under the impression that you had to get your consoles IP address and have the hotel staff add it to their authorized list with their IT dept.

It is not advisable to use a hotspot to connect your console to the Internet as the minimum requirement for you to use LIVE on your console is at least 3-4 Megabits per second.

The console is constantly downloading data whenever you are connected to the Internet, so, even if you play online less than an hour daily, it will not be a guarantee that your hotspot will work to ur expectations.

you mentioned you have a data limit, that will also be a problem as well.

so, it is best to use the regular internet to be able to play online on your console to get the best gaming experience.

You could also start a VPN.

Also could use a hotspot service on your laptop. In which, you would connect to a hotel wifi on your laptop, broadcast your wifi signal out using a hotspot app. Then connect your xbox to the said hotspot from your computer. Then you can sustain connection
to Xbox Live.

You can either choose to use your computer and share its Internet connection to your console, or use your computer's MAC address and spoof this address for your console.

The tip from "category two" describes how to alter the MAC address on the 360, but it works the same for the Xbox One (Alternative MAC Address).

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, looks like the internet is seeking the extra credentials for the network. As mentioned above by XBF Diego, "Unfortunately you will need to get with the hotel manager or IT administrator of the hotel to let your Xbox access
the private secure network of the hotel."
