How to stay signed on in multiple consoles?

I received an Xbox One X as a Christmas gift, during the set up of the One X I moved my Xbox One to a different room. After completing the set up and signing in on the One X, the account was automatically signed out on the Xbox One that my son was using.
Typically whoever gets signed out is dumped back to the main menu screen, which can be incredibly frustrating on several levels.

Is there a way to keep both the Xbox One and the Xbox One X signed in while on the same network? I refuse to pay for a second Xbox Gold account, but the current situation is simply unacceptable. You can't even be using Plex on one console and play a game
on the other because one gets kicked to the main menu.

Is there something that can be set up under the Family settings? Or would creating a guest profile work? I am sure there are many other people out there running into this same issue, so there must be some kind of solution.

Xbox 360 will intermittently sign out of live

No change. Tried all troubleshooting multiple times. Still will stay signed in for 5-10 minutes and then sign out again.

 

Having owned XB1 for 3 Months - Few Thoughts

Alternatively, you could setup up multiple users on your single Netflix account. That way, you can always stay signed in on your Xbox, & she can choose her individual profile for Netflix.
